24/7 Kindness

Have you tried doing any act of kindness lately? But have you tried doing it everyday? A simple act of kindness will surely make someone’s day marvelous and even to you. So what are you waiting for? Act now! Be kind today and be kind 24/ever!

Here are simple acts of kindness that you can do 24/7:

Smile. The best way to start your day is to simply smile and share it to people around you. It’s a contagious thing yet never harms anyone.

Laugh. As the saying goes…”laughter is the best medicine”. Make someone laugh even with your corniest joke. Who knows, he/she needed it the most! You can make someone happy even for a moment and make him/her forget his/her problems for a meantime.

Share. Show some act of generosity. As you go to work, school, church, etc., give something. Anyone will not mind receiving a gum or a piece of bread from you. Surely you’ll be appreciated.

Volunteer. Offer your help. Don’t wait for anyone to ask for your assistance. If you see an opportunity to lend your hands, do it so. But make sure you are only there to help and not the one who will do all the works.

Appreciate. Demonstrate your appreciation often if you must. People love to know that they are being appreciated. They feel special when they receive as such. Don't forget to say the magic words "Thank you!"

Apologize. We sometimes have difficulty in admitting our mistakes. Be kind today and try admitting your mistakes. Apologize if you must. Saying “I’m sorry!” doesn’t make you less of a man. In fact, it makes you a better man.

Show Courtesy. No one likes rude people (even you)! So, quit saying foul languages when you converse. I’m sure you don’t mean to say the f--- word, but it’s been a bad habit. You’re not aware of it, but to converse with such language is already being rude. So, be polite anytime!

Quit the Bad Habit. Of course, you must show kindness to your own self. Be kind to your body and stop that bad habit of yours. Quit smoking, drinking, gambling, and/or any other vices. Quit fooling around and take care of your body.

Always remember: No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

Online Chatting: Boon or Bane

Online chat refers to communicating and/or conversing over the Internet. But is it boon or bane?

Online chat allows people to communicate around the world. It makes it easier and faster to contact our loved ones who work abroad. It is a form of communication that can decrease the lonesomeness of a person. It can serve also as entertainment because one can meet new friends over the Internet. Also, through online chat, one may find his/her one true love. Amazing isn’t it? But through this technology, people may explore more things and take advantage the benefits of the online chatting. Since chatting may simple means informal conversation, people tend to forget some manners in conversing, or some are still inexperienced so they don’t know the basic rules in online chatting. As an example, it is considered rude to write only in UPPER CASE, because it looks as if you are shouting. Some may use online chatting as a venue to exploit themselves or others. It creates addiction to the users because of the exploitations that they find it incredibly sensational and triggers their innate sexuality.

In a nutshell: may it be boon or bane, online chatting is part of our growing world. It is up to the user whether he/she is for boon or bane. Just remember, one’s action may sometimes or oftentimes speak one’s being.
