Romance: Married Couples’ Nostalgia

Romance happens only in fairy tale as they say. It’s a fictional thing, yet many would like to experience it. People would do crazy things for “love”. Couples would engage themselves to different activities to have a romantic relationship. They say, “When you’re in love, you’re always in cloud 9.” How long would this feeling last? If you’re in love, you like to keep the romance forever. Thus, couples find themselves giving vows to each other through marriage. They promise to be together “for richer or poorer, ‘til death do they part.”

But reality check, married couples cannot sustain the romantic relationship. As the years passed by, romance fades. Only few married couples live up to their promise and keep the romance. Many couples struggle to make the romantic relationship intact because of each other’s differences. Change is inevitable. In the end, romance would be just married couples’ wishful thinking.

What one must do to keep the fire burning, so that the romance would not just be nostalgia in married life?

Here are few points to consider:
*
Be sensitive to your partner’s need.
*
Always be affectionate to your partner.
*
Be grateful to your partner.
*
Live passionately.
* Love intimately.
